Flowering Plants on the Lake

So we headed out on the lake to day to get some walleye and pike when we came around the bend all we saw was a huge white mat of flowers. i have not seen the lake like this.
Just thought i would share.

I believe that's Water Buttercup (Ranunculus flabellaris). It's a pretty bad invasive in some areas of the world. Cool pics though.
 
It's pretty, but it doesn't look good for the fish.
 
so beautiful.... i will have to visit my lake soon.. just a great place..
 
I have to admit, I can understand how it can be an invasive flower/weed.. but common.. that is by far .. breath taking

wonder if that would be something like duckweed..? if you were to add it to a planted tank, how would it do.. ?
