My fl just hangs at corner of tank and not eating. there is nothing wrong on his body. it lasts for a couple of days now. the other fish are all fine only he acts abnormally.

How long have you had him? Whats the current temp in the tank? How long have you had the auqarium up and running? What else is in the tank with him? Have you noticed if any of the other tank mates picking on him?

what are the tankmates? that behavior is typical of a fish trying to surrender. if you have other aggressive fish in there, one or more could be attacking your fish. even at a young age, some fish get very aggressive. watch closely to see. check for ammonia and nitrite. fish often gasp at the surface if they have been exposed to nitrite. i am only guessing, but i would think aggression is the problem

he is 8" the most dominant fish in my tank. I got him last sunday. for the first few days he ate normally. I have ten more fish in the tank with him but the others are fine as usual. No fish bother him.

If your water perams look good and your other fish are acting normal, and he has no outward signs of anything wrong I would treat him for internal parasites, I use anti parasite meds from API. Good luck.

Water change, check temp of water. Maybe salt?.. What size tank??

how often and how much water do you change when you do a WC? did you check for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate? the feces question is important because it would indicate parasites
