Flowerpots in aquariums

I wanted to add a flower pot to my discus setup to provide hopefully soon to be pairs a laying spot and I like the way they look in an aquarium with discus. I’m going to Lowe’s shortly. Are the clay pots safe and without effecting the water parameters? Or do I get a fake one?

Terra cotta is safe, the plain ones. Also good for beneficial bacteria surface. Just rinse and put in the tank.

No glazed pots, which may have lead. You can use ceramic food safe containers. I have ceramic canisters in my tanks for my largest parrots.
