Hey
i am wondering if i can put flower pots in my tank without anything bad happening
P.s if i can do it how do i clean them... Boiling water?

Out of 21 years, I've used flowerpots for over half (about 15 years) the time with no side effects.

I just washed them in normal tap water to remove any dust or loose pieces.

I just rinse mine in tap as well, the only issue I've ever had is broken ones can cut up a fish if ran into quickly, so I would advise against using broken pots.

I just rinsed them off and had no promblems with broken ones either. They are ugly imo and all cichlids love them.

Yes you can. Just make sure they are new and weren't exposed to any chemicals such as pesticides. Scrub them under warm water, you'll be fine. I agree they are kinda ugly though... To each their own!:)

2nd what ECW said. I use them in my 29gal BN Pleco breeding tank. They work great for this vs buying breeding caves and look better than just using pvc.
