Fltration for a 150 gallon tank

I am getting ready to set up a 150 gallon tank for my African cichlids and would like some recommendations on filtration for the tank.

I have no idea how many cichlids will be in there as we started with a 56 gallon with only 6 fish this past January (2010) and we now have close to 30 in there.

I run twin Rena XP3 canisters along with an Aquaclear 110 on my 150g.

works very well. the Rena's are cleaned every month to month and a half, while the AC is cleaned weekly with my water change (except for the week when I clean the Renas..). that week I leave it untouched.

John you sound like me i started in january and im just loving the fish keeping so far . . why dont you look at the DIY section and built something yourself. i build a filter for my growout the other day using a pop bottle and it works brilliantly and im 18 and know nothing about DIY so if i can do it im sure you can construct a monster sump

A mixture of African Cichlids
