Hi, Ive noticed that on one of the branches on my driftwood its growing some fluffy slimy stuff. As far as I know it isnt harming the fish, in fact, I see one of my fish picking at it and eating it sometimes. What excatly is it?

It's a sort of substance that leaches from the wood probably from the sap. To get rid of it, simple boil for a little while and bake the wood for an hour or so. I did the same thing and just threw it in the first time I got driftwood. It should be ok for re dish to eat and does no harm except clog your filter pretty easily

Just wash it off during water changes, happens in the planted tank to me all the time
