fluidized bed filter???

do fluidized bed filters have to be made from clear plastic or can i use black pond filter pipe.(3 - 4 inch bottem drain pipe)

You can use anything that will hold water and take the pressure. But clear plastic will help when adjusting the flow, so sand won't be coming out of the output.

yeah the clear plastic is just so you can see what is going on because they are so finicky...

If you need to you can install a 3"-4" clear piece for observation where needed (it's cheaper than doing everything out of clear).
