Fluidized bed filter

Does anybody know how to determine what size tank to use for a fluidized bed filter setup. Lets say its going on a 150g tank. Should I just make the filter tank 1/3 the size and use a 50? How would I go about these calculations?

This depends on your stock. How much you feed and how much flow they require.
