What does everyone put in there FLUIDIZED BIO-CHEMICAL CANISTER FILTERS? Im looking for some different ideas that work. Im not sure what I should use and how much gph pump to use. Any info will help out alot.

Do you mean fluidized sand bed filter? Or canister filter?

I've never used one, but should work fine if you use some type of prefilter to trap large particles and keep it from clogging. I'm pretty sure these things use sand as media. It should have a recommended flow rate I would think. A submersible pump would be all I think you would need.

ya I was thinking about sand but I wanted to know what everyone had if theres for the people that have them and what everyone would put in one if they dont have one.

They are made to put sand in. That is what will give you the most surface area. Hence Fluidized Sand Bed filter.:) They are good once they get going but re-starting the fluidization can be tricky. Great bio filters, I use two of these kinds of filters

I have a fluidized bed filter... use sand, best (only) thing you can put in it.

Can you use pool sand or do you have to have the pricy stuff. O the flow rate is 120 gph max.
