I'm doing research into filtration for my planned 10ft in the summer.

I'ved decided on FSB's for the biological side of things and small sump as the prefilter.

The FSB's can be no taller than 2ft and need to handle 4000lph.

I'm planning 2 FSB's of the same size.

Cheers.

FSB are cool... they have massive bio space... but some people have hard time getting start back up... i have 4 FSB in my fish room...

:iagree:
Like Neo said sometimes they are hard to get started backup. Especially if your check valve is old and has lost its seal. If it doesnt start back up wet, the easiest way is to drain it and start it backup, works everytime. I use 2 of them.

I have gone to the online supply stores ie. pet solutions, that pet place, and Big Al's on line ( I have used them all ).Go to the pond area they have some larger sand filters that you may want to use.

Pentair makes some compact ones that are inexpensive and can be hooked in series so you can use a couple shorter ones to meet your hieght requirements.
