Does anyone know if Earthworms can carry Flukes or any other parasites that can be transmitted to fish?

None that I know of as these often are not found underwater so I'd say it's unlikely. Where did you hear this?

Didn't hear it , just was wondering because of the problem I'm having with my fish scratching. (I think you might remember, you recommended praziquantal, I just ordered some today because the copper didn't work! I looked it up- 1 Gram/100 gal)
Anyways...It's the only live food I use and I haven't added a new fish in 6 mos.
So I thought it's the only other place any parasites could come from.

I don't think earthworms would be the source of flukes nor any fish disease. It's mainly tubifex, mosquito larva and daphnia that do as these ones are often exposed to sources where fish inhabit.

I just read in a box turtle book by Tess Cook that earth worms could be infected with the larva of tapeworms, flukes, and other indirect life cycle parasites.
I'll look further into this.
Lupin, please do the same.

Yes live worms I get from the local bait and tackle.
I've never tried breeding earthworms before; is it complicated, smelly, messy,or take up a lot of space? LOL!
