Fluorescent or incandescent?

Does it matter what type of hood light I get? What are pros/cons of the different types of light? I am stocking an oscar and 3 clown loaches. Thanks!

Pretty much means I need to find a fluorescent light for my hood...

Fluorescent in the long run will be much less expensive, it uses less energy and provided you're not continually turning it on/off it will last much longer...

the cheapest solution is to get a fluorescent fixture from home depot or a similar store. How big is the tank? It shouldn't be more than $30.

picked up a used fluorescent hood from the LFS yesterday that fits my hood perfectly. Thanks guys!
