Can get one for 30 bucks. It's used obviously, wanting to know if you guys think it's worth it. He said if i don't like it or can't get it to work he'll give me my money back. Are they any good? I plan on using it on either a 29 gallon or a 40 breeder.

I have one in my 30g as well. Absolutely silent and easy to use and clean. I would pick that up for $30 anyday

Impeller covers are a flimsy pos, have a few spare ones on hand.

They aren't self priming, and sometime the hand pump doesn't always make a good seal so it can take some time to get primed. But it runs well and can hold quite a bit of media, especially if you don't use the bins. Just use the sponges and fill it with bio media
