Right now I’m using pot Scrubbies in the red filter side of the Fluval 306 by balancing them in that tray portion of the filter. Could I just take the whole red tray out and stuff more pot Scrubbies into the canister or does it serve a functional purpose other than to hold the factory mechanical filtration pads?
Also, is there a way to get those fluval 306 intake/exhaust clips to clamp on to the thicker frames? They’re ever so slightly too small to fit completely on. Are there any solutions to this?
