Just pick one up for $10 at a flea market. Its the one that goes in the fish tank... You think that would be good in a 55g, or would I need more filtration? Its says its turn over rate is 260g per hour. All I have in it is a 5in GT and a 3in Jag.

If this is the only filtration you have in that tank, then yes, alot more filtration is needed. Get an Eheim 2215 or 2217, that will be enough filtration. Your Jag will need a bigger tank soon though.

Yeah, I have a 250g, but I'm looking for a new house so I wont have to swim to my bed room... Right now I have 2 whisper in tank i20 their turn over is 125gph. Should I run all three?
