hey everyone. got a used 403. i read about the "o" ring. and i believe i got it on right. but for some reason i cant snap those lil things up onto the top of the canister. what is going on?? can someone help me. is there an easy way to hook it on and i dont know?!?!?

maybe you need to switch to hampsters.
You must prime (fill) the canister with water before you start it. I fill mine before I hook it back up to the hoses. also....The Fluval should have a hand pump, located on the top next to the hose inputs, that should start to fill the canister after you hook it up to the hoses. Once filled with water, turn it on. Good luck.
if that does not work, Petco sells gerbils, cheap. A 90 gallon hampster cage, I'm sure, would be awesome.
