Hi

My first post, and it's a cry for help! Sorry!

I have a Fluval 404 that has always been a bit moody and has just stopped working. Put it back together after changing some of the media and it seems to be airlocked. Not unusual so far, usually the manual pump thingy is enough to get it sorted. Except tonight, when it snaps off in my hand instead.

Any ideas how I can get it working again would be very welcome....I've been rocking and tapping it, but no joy. I'm fairly new to the whole hobby and setup, so may be missing something really obvious....

....help!

Thanks

No idea if this helps but I have 403 with no pump, and i do these to things. first thing i do if i am in a hurry pop open the canister and then reseal it, then i suck on the return line, until water pours down the inlet.

OR if i have a little more time I actully hook up my Venturi tube from the power head and feed it all the way up to the bend in the inlet, this sucks the air out.

Both work well for me, I like the second one since I don't have to open the canister, but it takes longer.

Any Time.

Stupid pump primer thing- I just fill my fluval up after I clean it. so I only have to pump it a few times.
