fluval 404 leaking

i bought 3 used canisters for 30 bucks. fluval 303, 403 and 404.
the first two are working fine, i just changed ring seals in them.
the latest one 404 is leaking but the seal ring looks fine to me.
do you have the same bad experience with 404?
i have another 403 and i never had problems with it.
i tried to open and close it couple times, but it starts leaking after couple minutes

seal ring is probably bad, had the same problem with mine and I changed the seal ring and it was fine.

IME, fluvals arent very good filters, and I would never get another one. On mine several pieces broke, and it sprayed water all over my floor!

which piece broke? ive had mine for about 5 years now and aside from a broken impeller and media changes, nothing really broke.

The impeller, the rod that holds it in place, the clear plastic thing thats holds all that in, and the thing that directs water flow is cracked. And it sprays water everywhere.

Some people have had good luck w/ it, but Ive heard several people complaining about them

I dont like fluval at all,I like my via aqua 750 better but thats just me.
