Fluval 404 VS Rena FilStar xP3

Which canister would be better in conjunction with an AC 110/500 for a 75g tank?

IMO the xp3 would be best choice

Never used the XP3, id go with wichever turns over the most water.

I'm pretty sure the xP3 has a higher gph rating and has more room for media...

I never used the xp3 but I have the fluval 404 on my 75 and I think it's the balls. Very easy to change media and keeps the water crystal.

I like the fluval 404 , I have two at oposite end's of my 55 gal L also I am makeing a 30 gal sump(wet dry) out of an old tank...

the informationt that i read when making up the list of items that i needed for my 150 is that the xp3 has a much larger turnover rate than the fluval

XP3 is a much better canister.

Im using 2 AC 110s and a 404. Thinking about getting another 404. Too much is better than too little, when it comes to filtration. Honestly dont know which is better though..... Rena or 404.
