Fluval 404

I am having trouble with my new fluval 404. It is very loud, and I believe when it is running the aquastop lever should be in the down position, but mine runs both when its up and when it is down. Also, if I put the aquastop in the down position, it slowly lifts into the up position. Am I doing something wrong?

I would make certain it is connected properly- I would also call the company - my Fluvals are all kind of noisy when first set up but then get quiet after the first few hours.

id make sure your seating the aqua stop fully, Not a hard thing to do.

I hate fluval....They tend to break down really easy, especially the 'AQUA STOP" part of the filter, for example....mine just started to leak water all over the place....the water in my 55 was about 5 inches from the top, I am gussing I lost about 20 gallons of water all over the basement rug!!! I would go out and get a REANA FILSTAR XP3.....A way better filter.
