I just ordered a turbo twist uv, and contemplating a hydor eth in-line heater and was currious as to how others have gone from the 3/4" fluval hosing to the 5/8" connections for the equipment. I know they sell reducing couplings but I'm having a hard time getting past the hose being ribbed and the restraints of aquariums in relations to adhesives. Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

I bought vinyl smooth hose which attaches to the aqua lock thing with hose clamps. That then attaches to barb ends with hose clamps and i run 3/4" pvc up to the tank.

Output was low pressure cause of the big pipe to i put a 3/4" to 1/2" coupler in the end to rease the presser. With this set up i can add and modify easily.

i'm gonna ditch the stock hoses, it never dawned on me that the insides were also ribbed and that is why funk spews from them every time I restart my cannisters. Nothing is more annoying than watching in snow in the tank after spending an hour cleaning it!

yeah the hoses are good becase the don't kink easily but thaty is about it.

They are had to adapt to anything else and need to be cleaned more often or gross brown stuff comes out.
