I'm planning on getting a 72 Gallon Bow Front tank. Does anyone have any first hand info on the
fluval 405 are their problems with the canister, noise
Eheim 2075 - pro series leaks and is difficult to prime, may only be models manufactured before 8/2010?

i have a 305 and i love it. its a sleek little canister that does the job. its pretty easy to prime and so far no problems after over a year of use

Thanks, I started to get the 405, but the attendant stated Eheim because of quality. Any issues at all with installation or the tubing?

ehiem is well known to last for 10+ years non-stop and shouldn't be taken lightly becuase of its ugly green/ out dated look. Fluval is def a good competitor, but IMHO tried and true is the best way to filter your aquarium, Experiment with secondary filtration, I am using a fluval now and loving it, see how long it will last though. (not saying it wont)

ive had fulvals 304,405 and fx5 for years and they have served me very well, but i can't say the same for eheims. both are fine except the pricing on the products.

flu val was easy to set up but when i did mine i put the o ring on wrong an when i turtned it on it pumped water on the floor about 5 gallons lol

A no brainer. Eheim 2075.
