I am wondering if anyone has run a Fluval behind a 125gal fish tank....as in the fluval sitting on the same surface the tank is sitting on?? I am trying to build a double stand for 2 125's (72x18x23) one on top another and would like to run a combo of power filters and canisters on them.
Fluval 405 sitting behind a 125gal...possible???

I did this with an Eheim 2217 and a Fluval 404 when I had my 135g on the garage floor. It may have just been me but it seemed to reduce the flow rate. It was a noticable difference for me anyway but others may disagree.
I think it was putting allot of preasure on the motor. The filters are designed to use gravity by being under the tank to aid in the turnover process.
