fluval 405 vs AC 110

which do you think is better? they are both rated for roughly the same size tanks but the AC is way cheaper. is there any benefit to getting the fluval? the AC also filter more gallons per hour than the fluval does.

the fluval would probably be your best bet depending on many things though. if you have a bigger bio load i would get the fluval

The Fluval has ALOT more room for filter material and will do a better job.

do you really have to replace the bio media in the fluval every 3 months or do they just say that so you can buy more?

i'll go with AC ....for mechical filter the best choose is HOB

If you are looking at it budget wise you could get 2 ac110 for the price of the fluval.And they would do a much better job than just the 1 fluval 405.

Thanks to dmopar74 there is no comparison. Get the AC110 for 45 bucks
