Im thinking about picking up a fluval 405 rated 340gph thats 199.99. they also have a marineland canister that is 199.99 rated at 360gph. i was wondering which i should probably get, and if anyone knows of other filters that can handle the same load but maybe are cheaper or more effective in their opinion.

i have a 405 and its great..ive always used fluvals with zero problems...im sure somebody will get on here and say how they hate them its just personal preference..easy to clean and maintain and media is cheap and there are many alternatives and DIY media options..rena filstar filters are also good i hear but ive never owned one
I like the 405. Used it on my 29gal bow front, worked perfect. I might have missed it, but what size tank?
