Fluval C3 - C4 "hang on the back" filter

I currently have a Fluval U3 that is a underwater filter. It seems to do an "ok" job. I imagine a "hang on the back" filter would be much better.

Do you all agree?

Anyone have any experience with the fluvial C2, C3, or C4 hang on the back filters?

All comments are welcome as I am trying to learn as much as I can.

I haven't used it personally, it looks OK, but I think that an AquaClear filter would be better, due to more flexibility when it comes to filter media.
