Which one is better?
Tank size 55gallon.
Fluval C4 or AquaClear 70?

I am an aquaclear man, they work amazingly. I recommend an aquaclear 110 though, 200gph more and more space. I have an AC20 and 110 om 2 different tanks and they are great

I've been using aquaclear filters for over 20 years great product imo.

I just want to say Fluval and Aquaclear is same company cause Fluval took over Aquaclear, alot of filters start showing Fluval name but its actually Aquaclear products. I bought AC110 recently and the box was marked Fluval name but it exactly same Aquaclear 110 :)

Unfortunately i am not able to find aquaclear 110 in my area. I checked in amazon as well as in ebay. However aquaclear 70 is availavle online. So, please suggest if it would be a good idea to buy aquaclear 70 for 55 gallon tank? Will one filter be enough?
The tank is a african cichlid tank slightly overpopulated. I already have sunsun 302 canister filter. Thinking of adding another hob filter to lower burden on the canister.

AC70 is fine, you will need 2 if you're overstocked and better with 2 for maintain and keep water as good as possible (there is never overkill intern of filtration).
Edit:
I just saw you have sunsun already then 1x Ac70 will be fine.

Today i got 2 aquaclear 70. So now i am running a sunsun302 and two ac70. Hope its enough for a 55 gallon tank.

I must say i am totally impressed with the first look at the filter. Lots of space for putting bio stuff. I am thinking of replxing the carbon pouch with purigen after a week.
Does anyone has any experience with seachem matrix? Will it be a good idea to put it inside the filter? Or should i go for little more ceramic rings?

Matrix likes to float, in a bag it works fine. IMO ideally keep all your bio media in the canister and just use the ACs as mechanical and maybe chemical if you have to. Great filtration setup!!

Matrix? float? Mine sinks like a well... rock lol
