I'm considering using 2 Fluval E 200's on my 125 gal. I'm also considering 2 Marineland Stealth 200w heaters. I have noticed that several members of MFK have recently posted threads asking which manufacturer makes the best HEATER. Marineland's Stealth series led the pack with the most votes. FLUVAL did not even receive an honorable mention. I'm asking if anyone has used the Fluval E 200, which appears to be a well-designed, SMART heater. FLuval surely makes great filters. I love my FX5. Can anyone vouch for the Fluval heater line? Or if you have feedback on both heaters, I'd appreciate it.

Interested in the upcoming reviews on the fluval? As far as the stealth , they are over rated....had a couple malfunction on me in a year.

I'll never buy another one..bought hydor 300 Watt ETH Inline Heater from Ken's I'm very happy with these units.:headbang2

I have a couple of the E300 heaters on my 240gal. My favorite heater so far.

Pros:
Digital display, that stays lite so you can always see the tank temp day or night.
Easy to adjust temp, since its digital.
Displays current temp at all times.
If the water temp drops below your settings, the screenwill turn blue, if drops too far, it will flash blue. Same with the water temp getting too warm(screen turns red, or flashes red)
If their is not enough water flow near the heater, it will dispay "LF" meaning low flow.
Heater will cut off the power to the heating element if there is a malfunction or problem, but still display a fashing error code.
Comes with a heater guard installed.
Mounting brackets allow for it to be install on the tank wall in a couple of ways.

Cons:
There is no way to know when the heater is actually "on" and heating. Unlike most heaters that have a small led light that will light up when the heating element is on.
