Fluval edge - how do you do it?

I really like the look of the fluval edge, but I don't understand how you aqua scape and clean it.

Can you get your hand through the small hole at the top?

When I had mine I used a small siphon and a magnetic scrubber to clean. It is annoying to decorate for you cant have large branches or rocks because they have to fit through the top. For a hand it is a bit tight but it can be done. If you going to get one I would recommend the 12g tall, its easier to maintain.
