Fluval Edge questions

[Deaths Sting]

Im planning on getting a Fluval Edge for my girlfriend. She has always wanted a small aquarium with shrimp but couldn't because of her cat (shes paranoid). Well, her cats dead, so its time for her to get into the hobby!

I would like to know what heater I should get for it. Also, I would love to hear some feedback, from members that have had personal experience with the Fluval edge.

Go with Fluval EBI or Flora. Personally I'll go with Flora because of the largest dimension.
The CO2 system is pretty handy as well (IMO shrimps look best in planted tanks)

I thought the flora and ebi were the same size?

That link has TONS of info and modifications on the Edge. I set mine up from things I saw there and it was an awesome tank.

The Edge is great. I have one that I turned into a planted tank. a 10w heater would be fine for it. I got the LED lights and a socket with another 10w CF. Also got the Fluval 88g CO2 System.

get the ehater fluval actualy sells for it. Change the light bulbs to led lights in it. when u fill it first time gonna have bubbles all over the glass. just do a half tank water change on it and fill slowly all the bubbles on top glass will go away. Filter that comes with it is a small aqua clear filter. get the co2 system they sell for it and plant away.

No, you're right that there is a smaller one that's the same style, but it's called the fluval spec.
