Fluval /eheim 2180or2028

Hi all i have a 500l 5 foot tank and are currently running 2xfluval 405 external filters which I'am not tottally happy with.
I want two upgrade one of these to a eheim but which one either a 2028 rated upto 600l or the much bigger 2180 rated upto 1200l
My tank is fully stocked maybe slightly overstocked does anybody have any experiece of these filters? and what would you go for?

I have a 2028 and the 2080. I am not sure the 2028 will move enough water for a 5' tank. I do not have experience with the fluval but the 2028 and the fluval might do the trick.

The 2080 moves a lot of water and will easily handle a 5' tank.

I have had terrible experience with the pro3 series, search for my threads. Have you thought about 2260?

I would up-grade one of your 405s to a FX5.

I have both filters. Both of them would do really well for a slightly overstocked 500L tank

Fox3 offered a really good suggestion as well
