We are transition a pair of fish(a small gold fish and a very large pleco) from a 35 gallon tank to a 125 gallon mansion.

I am looking at filters and the FX-4 looks like it should work well on paper but I wanted to make sure. Anyone have any experience with it? Are it’s advertised specs correct Or are they overselling it?

With proper maintenance of the FX4 and large enough weekly water changes it could work. Have considered a sump much more easier to maintain.

2 fish ? 125g,

should be good...bigger is always better...

what’s your definition of “very large”?

Sump may not be bad idea either, I have one fish in a 150 with 2-fx 6’s , hobs n more, still little ammo....

gonna probably throw a sump on there too when I get a chance.

fx 4 or ( 2)ac110's will work.. *but* you need to do large weekly wc's.. but to properly care for those 2 fish you need to do large wc's no matter what your filtration is...
