So I have a new fluval fx5 hooked up to my 125 gallon cichlid tank. My original issue with the fx5 was small dust sized bubbles blowing out of the out take. I did some research and learned that one of the causes of this was my small air stone in the bottom corner of the tank. My main question is how can I put additional oxygen into the tank without creating the air bubble problem. Or is the fx5 capable of putting oxygen into the tank?

I run 2 FX5s in my tank and I point one of the outputs up from each one to cause a ripple on the surface and my fish are doing great.

I have one Powerhead mounted in the upper left hand rear corner of the tank with a sponge filter attached to it and I can adjust the air flow into the tank from the air tube connected to it. Like the other posters have stated I have the output pointed up slightly at angle for surface agitation and pointed at the front right hand corner of the tank. This works very well, I jet plenty of oxygen and surface agitation without any air bubbles going into the filtration system.
