Fluval FX5 Hose

Does anyone know where I can get a new ribbed hose for my FX5. I searched in google but I can't find one any where.

most hardware or plumbing shop should stock it, it's exactly the same as ordinary washing machine tubing right down to the rubber fittings.... over here atleast

Personally all the fluvals I have owned I preferred to run with vinyl tubing instead of the ribbed tubing, as it was just a big detritus trap.

I called fluval and they wanted 50 bucks for their hose. UH NO THANKS...

If I am not mistaken, 5/8" ID flex pvc tubing is what you want, to get the fittings on soak the ends in hot water. they willl slip right on.

FX5 is 1" I.D. tubing I redid mine with 1" tubing and used coralife 1" 90's to make the back of my tank really clean. I'll have to grab some pics later as the ones I have aren't very clear.

Why did they stick that ribbes line in the box! i diss like it. Plus i found a really nice flex one for 20 bucks that can bent and go about anyplace and angle The tube was dark green
