anyone can give me your opinion on which is better so i can decide on which to purchase. Your help is greatly appreciated! thanks! :)

I have both...besides the difference in cost. I'm pleased with both filters.
To me it's which one fits your current budget......FX5 was around 60.00 less than the 2260.

I've had the FX 5 almost 2 years, the 2260 going on 1.

The eheim is a monster in as far as capacity, it's old school but highly effective.

Flip a coin...........:nilly:

Go with the 2262

I concur, a no-brainer the 2262 vs. the FX-5

i have the fx5 and i like it.. it pretty easy to set up.. but i dink the 2262 is more expensive.. hahaha.. good luck with ur choice.. both are good though..

If money is not an issue go with 2260 or 2262. It will cost a bit to fill up with media. If you already have a bio filter or a sump go with fx5.

i have an fx5. it's my first cannister. i like my fx5. it does a great job. both fluval and eheim are eurpoean companies. they are like european cars. built to last and run. you can't go wrong with either.

I had own both I say the fluval Fx5
