Fluval FX5 problem HELP :(!!!):

my fx5 has been working fine up untill now the water coming out the two nozzles is almost stoped iv tried turning it off for five mins then i turned it off all night then i cleaned it out and iv just striped the pump n cleaned the motor and it still isnt workin correctly :( plz help thanks tom

Any fine filter pads? Is the intake hole to the impeller clogged with anything?
 
My first one did this and it eventually just stopped and i had to get a new one foc of course but is it making a sloshing sound or the impeler making a noise more than usual? Or check that nothing is blocked including the little hard pipe on the lid.
How long has it been working fine for and was it brand new?
I cant quite remember the link but if you look on the pirahna forum.com,not on here and look for equipment there is a guy on there who has his own webpage dedicated to the fx5 problems and mods etc

thanks for your comments ,i was playing about with it last night and realised i hade water polishin pads right at the start of the filtering process so all the fish **** and sand had blocked it up in a matter of 1 1/2 weeks anyways im glad because a new motor from the fluval site is £199 :/ i havent got £1.99 at the moment lol also check out the vid of my tank :)

Yup thats ME :nilly::D

Its a little out of date, I have to update it with more procedures and troubleshooting tips.

what? its aqua sand? lol?!?!

aqua sand is just the sand we get in our local fish shop they have light and dark but i used both :) now it has a nice dark couller with light patches try it :-)
