Fluval fx5 problem

Hi, Guys
I am really stumped with this one. After I cleaned and replaced the media in my filter i8t seems that my outake and intake valve switched. My intake is blowing and outake is sucking. Anyone have any ideas. Hoses are on right and double checked.

ok, I switched the hoses and everything seems to be working fine, Why did they swap functions though? im just curious.

I know with my fx5 the tubes that go down into the canister are stuck to the lid. After I clean the filter I need to be careful when putting the top back on to make sure these tubes go into the correct outlet,inlet spot. I have caught myself putting the tube for the outlet into the inlet spot which would have then caused the problem you have described I.e. "in" coming through the "out" and the "out" going throughout the "in" just check
