My Fx5 was working fine till last night. It just stopped working? Does anyone know if this thing resets. If so do what to do to get it re-started? I unplugged it for 30 minutes and tried plugging it back in...no go =-(

do you have connected to an over flow if so you may just have air in the lines if the water level went down.
Or do you have sand as a substrate I do sometimes it gets clogged bad and need to be rinsed out
another is yes they shut down for about 10minutes to let bad gas rise to the top and then they should turn over

Yeah they do, but if you unplug them then re-plug them in they work instantly for a minute then shut off for a minute then run for 24hrs before they stop to "burp". Sounds like something is wrong with his.
I think its clogged by the pump or if the comp went down thats it then but he should be covered thru warranty
try removing the impeller housing and taking the impeller out and cleaning well. mine didnt want to come on after a water change and that was the solution. it should only shut off for 2min every 24hrs.
