I just bought a FX5 and the tubing it came with is not quiet long enough for my tank. Just curious as to what people who had this problem did. I looked online and all the tubing I came across were $20-25, which seems kinda expensive to me. Is there a cheaper or better option out there? Thanks

Go to Home Depot or some other store like that, and go check the plumbing section. They have tubing that can be used on filters and what not. Its not that cheap though. I bought 10' of 1" isd and it was almost $20. I don't know what size you need but I bet it would be less than $20.

i agree they even have the plastic connectors you need to extend them.

I ordered 1" ID Lees pond tubing to replace the crappy ribbed tubbing. I looked all over locally but ended up having to order it. I think I paid $30 or so for 20 feet and still have a bunch left over for the third valve if I ever want to quickly drain the tank.
