I have heard nothing but good things about them. It's the FX5 that I will be getting to go with my 120g. Sure...... it may be a bit of overkill, but you can never have too much filtration.

what is this "overkill" you speak of i've never heard this word. it's not in my dictionary.

Likes- high turnover and ribbed hoses, inovative design, easy to clean, price
Dislikes - Sediment from ceramic rings tend to get get lodged in impeller well causing it to stop spinning.

otherwise great filter

then it would probably be best not to use ceramic rings

I have them running at work and they are great! Just be sure to read the manual, yes I said READ the MANUAL. I have people calling in and complaining cause they think it breaks when it actually kicks off to purge the bubbles out.
