Just wondering if any one else has had problems with Fluval impellars. I have been running a pair of 404's for awhile and it seems that about every year almost like clockwork the impellars come apart????? Anyone else or just my luck

Haven't had any problems with my Fluvals. My problems have been with Filstar's loose impeller design. It is, by far, the worst innovation to date for canister design. I've sheared 2 XP4 impellors in less than 6 months. I finally permanently affixed the impellers to the magnet top mounts with PVC/plastic cement. It's working so far but, what a pain in the butt to have to deal with on a "New & Improved" filtration system.
