I've had many different filters in the 54g corner bowfront tank. Right now I have a fluval U4, submersible. It is not doing the job. I hardly have any fish in there, as I'm waiting to grow them bigger.

I'm considering getting a fluval cannister, the 305 to be exact. Any opinions?

For those who aren't aware, this type of tank's VERY hard to fit filters on. There's not much room in the corner to work with. Measured underneath the stand couple months ago, and can't find a small enough sump tank to fit in there, but need one big enough.

In the past I've done aquaclear 50 with a magnum HOT (I think). It hanged on the back of the tank. THey combined were ok, but don't want to be having to run 2 filters on this thing.
