Fluval Nitrate remover. Is this bull? Or does it work?

In the back of the TFH July edition there is an ad for Fluval Lab Series nitrate remover. I have always known the nitrate is not removable, only by dillution. Has anyone used this with any success? Thanks.

i think if you picked up like 10 bags of it and just put them all in ur sump, u might see a drop, but i know one bag doesnt do a thing.

I was told to use Seachem Purigen, I just started using it and I have a review/info thread on it. I will update the thread after a couple of weeks to let you know if it works and any side effects.

The only drop will be the bags hitting the floor cause I dont have a sump on that tank.

that falls under the catagory of chemical media

id use it in conjunction with water changes. whatever nitrate are left after a water change that will make it even lower.

I just got a load of it this week from hagen, haven't tried it yet, but if its similar to competing products, i suspect you would need a lot of it
