Has anybody tried one of these? The bigger kit for up to 40 gal is on back order everywhere.
Would the smaller 20 gram kit be enough? I am willing to bet the regulator would fit the larger 88 gram cylinder if its just a problem with volume. Both kits come with a regulator but the 20 gram has a intake bubble counter ladder diffuser as one. The 88 has a small diffuser and external bubble counter.

Even with the above I get beard algae I have otto cats and Siamese algae eaters and they are not enough to keep it at bay. I have fazed back my lights to 8 hours a day and I still have it.
The tank is a 20 gallon long with low tech plants (crypt, java moss, java ferns, anubus and Amazon swords) and just enough light. I dose with flourish, iron and excel but doing the excel each day is a pain. Substrate is flora grow. I had good plant luck with the diy organic co2 but the PH fluctuations were less then positive for my fish keeping skills. It did keep my algae in check and seemed to encourage plant growth.
