FLUVAL PROBLEM<HELP>

OK I Have a fluval 403 which was second hand<came with tank....the outlet pipe had a jubilee clip on part where you usually screw up the plastic bit but yest did filter clean put it back together and now it leaks alot...not sure weather to cut my loses and buy a new filter<now>anduse the sponges etc in the new one or any one have any ideas...its leaking from the bit with the screw jebilee clip.....my lfs has a big external tetratec<biggest1 they do for £60.....
 
well ive got out my box of tricks and managed to find new pipe bits and conectors and other bits and managed to bodge it toghter nice and airtight...so thatll do for now checking it all the time.....have to go filter shopping now...what a strain been spending loads this month missus is gonna freak...hehe....ohwell bday next month so early present to me
 
I wouldn't get the tetratec myself, I'm not a fan of them. They do make decent backup filters though. You should run two filters on your tank regardless though. I'd recommend getting an AC110 with 2 foam and 1 biomedia, and then a canister of your choice for primarily bio filtration.
