Is a Finnex Planted + 12" led light too much for a Fluval Spec 3? Between the 12" Planted + or Fugeray 10" which would you choose.

I plan on running CO2. Currently deciding if I should get Aquatek Mini regulatoror something from CO2Art.

Plant wise - currently doing a dry start on HC. It has carpeted nicely so just waiting to get a CO2 set up going before I fill the tank. Not sure what else I want to add yet but want to maintain my carpet scape.

Would love all advice, thanks!!

The Planted+ would be very high lighting on that tank. You would definitely have to inject Co2 in order to avoid algae and plant growth issues. In addition, you may have to run a shorter photoperiod. The Finnex Stingray (Clip On) would probably work fine on a tank that small. As for the Aquatek Mini regulator, it's awesome. I'm currently using it on my 20G long with zero issues. It took a couple of days for the needle valve to settle in where I wanted it. Other than that, it's a great regulator. I have mine set up on a 24oz paintball cylinder ($22 on Amazon). I estimate it will last 3-4 months before needing a refill.
