Both of these species are awesome looking. The Fly River Turtle looking so adorable, playful and curious while the Long Necked Turtle looking unique, not to say the Fly River Turtle isn't, but I find the whole profile of the Long Necked Turtle with its shell, legs and long neck like the Brachiosaurus. And to watch having its body submerged in the water while the long neck stretching up with the head looking out of the water is just awesome, while on the other hand the Fly River Turtle's flying like manner is just awesome too.:D

But my question is, how big do both of these guys grow? Can you post pictures of your turtles if you have these guys? I have two LFS nearby and one has Fly River Turtles just adorable looking while the other has both Fly River and Long Necked Turtles in a single tank. They are small, about 3-4 inches long.

from what i read last time. the FRT/PNT can reach around 1.5-2 feet carapace. mine is only around 6 inches now and it may be stunned. hope that it can continue to grow. it's previous owner kept it in a 2 feet tank for around 6 years. not sure about long necks. should be around 1-1.5feet.

FRT was quite common over here in my country before it was banned around 3 yrs ago. it was quite cheap too. we can easily get one 3 inches specimen for around USD$20 each at that time. but after it is banned there is no other nice turtles which we can keep.
