Hello all,
I just recently purchased 5 flying fox fish to put in my 250 gallon aquarium. The stocking in my tank is as follows- 1 adult Green Severum, 1 juvenile Severum, 4 Hoplo Catfish, 3 blood parrots, 2 Raphael catfish, 2 Green Terrors and one Geophagus Pellegrini. I tried to put these flying fox fish in the tank and one of the Green terrors tried to eat them, they all somehow figured out how to escape the harassment by getting behind the 3D background. We pulled them out and put them in a 29 gallon tank that just has plants and snails. So my question is will these flying fox fish ever be able to live in my 210 gallon aquarium? These fish are about 2”-3” at this time.

Any opinions or advice will be greatly appreciated:) Thank you!

Really depends on your bigger fish, and whether they will eat them or not. Going to be impossible for us to say whether they will or not, but it seems from past experience that they will. Flying foxes get to about 6" but that will take quite a while.

Ok so I guess my next question would be, should I return the flying fox fish or put them in my 40 gallon breeder tank that has 4 mollies, several corys, 1 half banded eel and one golden nugget pleco?
