I have one flying fox that is about 3.5 inches in length, which is double what he was when I bought him, but he only has one front fin, the other is totally gone and has been since I brought him home.

The issue is that unlike my other flying fox he swims in tiny tight circles all day long rather than zipping along the length of the tank.

is this because of the missing front fin, or is he a stressed out unhappy fish? he is in a 55 so has plenty of room.

umm maybe his single fin cuases him to propel faster with that dirrection making go in circles even with out trying since theres only one fin =D i dunno just a guese.. was his behaviour always like that? eekk =S now im curiouse to see what some one else will say =D some one please reply! =^___^=

that's what I figured, sort of like trying to paddle a canoe on only one side!

he is active and zippy as can be, and eating and growing but I seriously doubt it will grow back, there is no trace at all of a fin, maybe he was born without it?!?

right now he is swimming in tight circles around my apple snail and the snail is none too pleased.

hey hey =^_^=

have u ever watched that red bull comercial where it is about a cannoe race..
and one of the teams gave red bull to the enemy team.. and the teammate said.. why did you give them red bull.. then they will be like supper fast... and then... he said... he only gave it to one side of the boat of the opponents team.. and then the boat when crazy spinning in circles =D

Sorry, this isnt really topic related.. but just thought of the comercial and ur fishie =^__^=V
