I just recently got these two Motoro pups from a dude I met on this site. They love flying around the tank, just surfing on the current coming out from the filter. The male started doing it, and then the female decided to have fun as well. They do it all through the day, which is awesome to watch.
Is this a normal practice for pups? I hope that it will continue for a while because it's so sweet to watch.

nice video.. i wish i could keep stingrays where i live but its a no no here in Fl...but they do look happy in your tank. and btw the tittle on ur post gave me some crazy funny mental pictures of what to expect haha...

Definitely looks like they're enjoying themselves. How big are they and what size tank are they in?

Thanks everyone. They do seem pretty happy and content. They are only 2 months old, just around 4 inches wide. The tank is a 120 for now till they get a bit bigger. It's an fx5 filter, so there is tons of flow for the tank, which may be why they like to surf so much.

damn nice....a flying ray is always a very happy ray thats what i heard from a friend.........and your water must be really good as well.

I have a 2 year old female motoro who still does this. As long as you have no ammonia or nitrIte and no fish on the tank floor harassing the rays, it's absolutely normal.

the ray pups I used to have used to do this and I hate that my larger adult rays I currently have (different rays) don't do it it was so much fun to watch.
